South Shields’ Amphitheatre will once again become a showcase for the region’s brightest musical talent this summer as the NEXT! Big Thing Live Music programme returns throughout June.

The free series of performances, held at Sandhaven Amphitheatre, has been created to spotlight emerging musicians, bands, choirs and solo performers from across the North East, giving audiences the opportunity to discover the area’s next generation of stars.

Organised as part of South Tyneside’s wider summer events programme, NEXT! Big Thing performances take place throughout June, with live music sessions running from 7pm to 9pm. The events are free to attend and offer visitors the chance to enjoy quality live entertainment in one of the region’s most picturesque coastal settings.
