Emmaus North East has been recognised for its dedication to staff wellbeing and fostering a positive workplace culture after achieving the Shine Advanced Award from the North East Combined Authority.

The award follows a successful accreditation process that recognises organisations demonstrating exceptional commitment to promoting health, wellbeing, and employee support within the workplace.

Emmaus North East, which supports people affected by homelessness across the region, was commended for its continued efforts to create a supportive, inclusive, and welcoming environment for staff, volunteers, and companions.

The Shine accreditation scheme encourages organisations to build healthier workplaces by focusing on key areas such as mental health, physical wellbeing, inclusion, and employee support. Achieving the Advanced Award reflects Emmaus North East’s strong commitment to these values and the positive work taking place throughout the organisation.
